| Tips to Prolong Battery Lifespan and Battery Life |
- Always charge the battery before first and after use.
- Always store PA system with batteries in a fully charged condition.
- Always power off both PA system and transmitter when NOT in use.
- It is OK to leave the PA system plugged into a power outlet when not being used for a long time. The built-in automatic protection circuitry will auto shut-off when fully charged. It will not harm the system or the battery.
- For proper maintenance of a sealed lead-acid battery, it's important to fully charge the battery at least every two or three months. Battery may not hold charge if not charged for a prolonged periods of time.
- For proper maintenance of a lithium-based battery, it’s important to keep the electrons in it moving occasionally. Be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).
- Rechargeable batteries have a limited number of charge cycles and may eventually need to be replaced.
- DO NOT charge other types of batteries and connect a battery's negative terminal to another battery's positive terminal. A fire and/or explosion could occur as a result. Use only battery recommended by the manufacturer.
- Store PA system in dry, cool place away from heat. Elevated temperature reduces battery longevity.
- Keep PA system out of the sun or a hot car or van. Heat will degrade battery’s performance the most.
