A11:
MIPRO is an original designer and manufacturer with 40 years in producing wireless microphone & wireless portable PA systems.
A12: Each system is all-in-one outdoor or indoor wireless solution!

Q:
I have performed the SCAN & ACT sync (synchronize) channel set-up function from receiver to handheld or bodypack transmitter. However, there is no sound coming out from the portable PA.

  http://support.mipro.com.tw/images/support/scansync.pdf (Scan and ACT sync)
A1:
Ascertain both receiver and transmitter have the same Frequency Bands (example, 6A-6A, 6B-6B, 6C-6C) "ERR 03 or 04" will appear on ACT-30H or ACT-30T transmitter when ACT (sync) button is pressed and cannot be synced due to incompatible bands.
A2: Fresh batteries are installed inside the transmitter and is powered on.
A3: The portable PA is powered-on and MRM-70-R receiver is turned-on.
A4:
Volume control of MRM-70-R & portable PA should be positioned at approx. 10-12 o’clock. Portable PA & MRM-70-R have individual volume controls.
MA-708 or MA-808 has a master volume control with indicators (green LEDs) and volume needs to be manually adjusted each time the system is powered on.
A5:
Once the receiver‘ACT’ (sync) button is pressed, the receiver channel LED starts to blink and is seeking to sync/pair channel with the transmitter. Ascertain to align transmitter IR window (red circle-shaped) with ACT IR window on the receiver and are facing each other within 30 cm (12-inch) range and within 5-7 seconds period. If sync is done successfully the receiver channel LED stops blinking.
A6:
Unknown external interference may cause unsuccessful synchronization. To change channel, press ‘SCAN’ button once to activate and press one more to scan for an open, interference-free channel. Repeat "A5" to sync receiver & transmitter frequencies.
A7:
Some external interference sources occurred different times during the day, thus, synchronization may work in the morning and not in the afternoon, vice versa. The interference maybe too strong if you are unable to perform the synchronization successfully with all 16 channels. You may have change to a new Frequency Band.

Q: What is the normal operating range of MIPRO wireless mic systems?
A:
Up to 100-meter (330-feet) line-of-sight is possible. MIPRO is a wireless microphone specialist, original designer & manufacturer. Actual range depends on many variables, including RF signal, reflections, interference, crowd size, obstacles, metallic enclosures and placement of receiver.

Q: Why there is no external antenna on built-in receiver or receiver modules?
A:
With nearly 30 years of wireless design know-how, MIPRO is able to design built-in antennas and maintan highly reliable RF reception. An external or removable antennas can get lost or broken when the system falls down. A permanent, concealed antenna cannot be lost or broken.

Q: Can you use both wireless and wired mics while charging at the same time?
A: Yes on all three.

Q: Maximum wireless microphones can be used at the same time?
A1: Up to 4 wireless microphones in MA-708 and MA-808 models
A2: Up to 2 wireless microphones in MA-705 and MA-707 models
A3: Up to 2 wireless microphones in MA-100du and MA-303du models
A4: Up to 1 wireless microphone in MA-100su, MA-101A, MA-202 and MA-303su models

Q: What types of microphones can you use for wireless PA systems?
A: Handheld, Lavalier and Headworn microphones. Even, guitar cable, too.

Q: Which microphone has the best sound quality for wireless PA systems?
A:
Handheld microphone sounds the best. But if you need both hands free, you will have to wear either headworn or lavalier microphone and use a bodypack transmitter. Headworn microphone generally sounds better than Lavalier microphone, especially dealing with feedback issue.

Q: Do you have a true wireless solution? Hands-free, bodypack & cable-free?
A: Yes. ACT-20T offers a true wireless experience with no bodypacks and no cables, allowing complete freedom of mobility when connected to a MU-23d or MU-210d headworn microphone for wireless audio presentation.

Q: Can I play guitar or other musical instruments and amplify it through MIPRO portables using a wireless connection?
A:
Yes. Simply plug a MIPRO MU-40G guitar cable into your guitar or other instruments and plug the connector on the other end into an ACT-30T bodypack transmitter. Open the bodypack transmitter cover and switch to “GT” (line-level) mode from “MT” (microphone level). MT is the set mode for any MIPRO bodypack transmitter.

Q: Why no sound after I turned on the transmitter, receiver and PA system?
A1: Ascertain batteries inside transmitter and PA system are new and fresh.

A2: Ascertain volume controls are turned on both receiver and Master to approx.12 o’clock position.
A3: Ascertain receiver and transmitter have the matching frequency. Press ‘ACT” to sync the frequencies automatically.

Q: What type of battery is used in the handheld and bodypack transmitters?
A: Two AA batteries are required. We highly recommend using “alkaline” type for optimal performance

Q: Battery life of ACT-30H handheld & ACT-30T bodypack transmitters?
A: Normally, more than 20 hours using new, fresh 2 AA alkaline batteries.

Q: How can you tell if the battery in the transmitter is useable?
A:
When you power on the transmitter the 4-level battery indicator is lit. A full 4-level meter denotes a full battery life.

Q: Is there a battery-low warning indicator on the transmitter?
A: 1 level remains in the 4-level battery indicator denotes a battery-low warning. Approximately 20~30 minutes talk time remains. Replace immediately with two fresh alkaline AA batteries is recommended

Q: How to improve operating range and reduce dropouts?
A1:
For optimum reception, line-of-sight (clear of obstacles in between) should be maintained between the PA system and the transmitters.
A2: For optimum reception, reduce the distance between receivers and transmitters.
A3:
Place the portable PA on a speaker tripod stand or higher ground and away from metallic objects & surfaces, computers, digital & electrical equipment and lighting systems will aid from external interferences and improved reception quality.
A4:
Ensure the SENSITIVITY level switch on MRM-70 or MRM-72 receiver is not positioned clockwise to the left-hand side (denote with negative "-" sign). This "-" negative position reduces sensitivity level and will also shorten the transmission range
A5:
For improved range, ensure the SENSITIVITY level switch on MRM-70 or MRM-72 receiver is positioned near to the right-hand side (denote with plus "+" sign) as possible. However, this may increase the chance of external interferences.

Q: Symptoms and what to do when wireless PA system is experiencing interference?
A1:
Audible noises and red-color “NOISE” indicator & RF meter are lit on MRM-70 or MRM-72 receiver module to indicate the presence of interference.
A2: Press “SCAN” button to quickly scan for one of the 16 clear receiver channels.
A3:
Press “ACT” to sync the receiver frequency to transmitter automatically.
or Adjust and reduce the "SENSITIVITY" level on MRM-70 or MRM-72 receiver clockwise to the left-hand side (denote with negative "-" sign). However, the reduced sensitivity level will also shorten the transmission range.
A4:
If both methods can not overcome interferences, detach and replace the receiver module with a different frequency band along with transmitter.

Q: Can MIPRO portables systems be hooked up to an outboard mixer?
A: Yes, a mixer can be connected to any portable through the line input.

Q: What if I need to transmit to a much longer distance like 1 kilometer or beyond?
A:
Solution is possible via multiple MIPRO MTM-90 wireless interlining transmitters and MRM-70 receivers. For exact set-up configurations please click “application”in MA-708 or MA-808 wireless PA system for detailed diagram

Q: How to reduce wind noise during outdoor applications?
A:
Use a foam windscreen over the handheld, headworn or lavalier microphone. The windscreen also reduces the annoying popping noise.
